The Entrust Sigma DSE is a Direct-to-Card ID card printer designed for organizations that need secure and efficient ID card issuance. Built for modern cloud environments and essential card personalization requirements, the model is suitable for both internal workflows and deployments in offices, reception areas, educational facilities, companies or controlled access areas.
The printer uses dye sublimation printing technology and allows single-sided or dual-sided printing, at a resolution of 300 dpi. The Sigma DSE integrates an intuitive panel for monitoring the status of the equipment, checking the need for consumables, updating the firmware and accessing useful resources directly from mobile devices. In addition, it includes a patented function to protect the print head during ribbon changes or service operations.
From a security perspective, the Entrust Sigma DSE offers secure boot for power-on protection, encryption of the connection and data transmitted between the software and the printer, and the fact that customer data is not retained in the printer after printing is complete. The device can be used in on-premises or cloud-hosted deployments and allows printing from iOS, Android and Windows mobile devices.
To expand your identification programs, the model can optionally integrate magnetic stripe and smart card encoding functions. It is a suitable choice for printing employee cards, access badges, visitor cards or other credentials used in identification, traceability and operational control processes. Standard capacity includes a 100-card input and a 25-card output tray.
