The Carl Valentin Vario V industrial printers are designed for serious production, logistics, retail or automotive applications, where you need clear, fast and repeatable printing, without hassle.

The series covers both direct thermal and thermal transfer printers, with resolutions of 203, 300 and 600 dpi and print widths up to 108.4 mm, so you can print from very fine traceability labels to large shipping labels.

Industrial productivity and reliability

With a print speed of up to 250 mm/s (203/300 dpi models) and robust construction, the Vario V is designed for intensive, three-shift workflows. The TI Sitara ARM Cortex A8, 1 GHz processing engine and 512 MB RAM ensure fast processing of complex layouts, with graphics, multiple fonts and 1D/2D barcodes.

The printer is equipped as standard with RS-232, USB and Ethernet 10/100 interfaces (LPD, RawIP, DHCP, HTTP, FTP), plus two USB host ports for keyboard or USB stick – perfect for standalone work or integration into existing systems.

Flexibility in printing: direct thermal and thermal transfer

• Thermal transfer – for durable labels, resistant to abrasion, chemicals or varying temperatures (ideal in production, warehouses, automotive).

• Direct thermal (T) – for short-term labels (logistics, retail, picking labels), without ribbon, with a low total cost.

Supports a wide range of materials: paper, cardboard, textiles, synthetic materials, with a weight of up to 220 g/m² and a roll diameter of up to 200 mm on the internal unwinder.

Intuitive operation: classic or 7″ touch display

You have two operating panel options available:

• Variant with keyboard and 132×64 px graphic display – ideal for environments where simple operation is required, robust.

• 7″ color touchscreen variant – clear menu, favorites list, quick access to layouts, parameters and service functions.

Menus can be displayed in up to 20 languages, and settings include label parameters, printer, network, passwords, variables, date/time and work shifts.

Easy integration into labeling applications

The Vario V series is compatible with:

• Labelstar Office / Labelstar Office Lite – professional labeling software for PC;

• ConfigTool – for quick configuration;

• CVPL protocol and ZPL II® emulation – for integration into existing systems, ERP, WMS or production lines.

The extended support for fonts (bitmap, vector, TrueType) and 1D/2D barcodes (EAN, Code 128, GS1-128, DataMatrix, QR Code, etc.) seamlessly covers the requirements of logistics, pharmaceutical, retail or production.

Options and accessories for automatic lines

For integration into packaging lines or automatic label application, Vario V can be equipped with:

• cutter (label cutting or continuous printing),

• dispenser module with/without photocell (label peeling automatic),

• Dispenser I/O interface and configurable digital ports,

• WLAN module,

• scanner for barcode verification,

• external unwinder / rewinder for large label rolls.

The working temperature is 5-35 °C, with humidity up to 80% without condensation, and the IP20 housing protection recommends it for use in production halls, warehouses and logistics spaces.
