Gemalto Thales IDBridge CT40 – Electronic ID card reader with chip for CEI Romania and EU
Thales IDBridge CT40 is a high-performance chip card reader, designed specifically for the new electronic identity cards (CEI) with contact chip in Romania, but also compatible with similar documents issued in the EU (Belgium, Spain, Portugal, etc.). The device allows secure authentication in government platforms, as well as electronic signature from any Windows PC or laptop.
The device is plug-and-play, connects via USB (1.5m USB2.0 cable with A connector), is CE, FCC and RoHS certified and offers support for all ISO7816 (1–4), EMV level 1 and T=0, T=1 protocols. It is used together with the IDPlug Manager middleware application for Romania or EID Belgium.
