Evolis Primacy 2 is a professional card printer, created for organizations that need high speed, flexibility and a high level of security in the personalization process. The printer can print in monochrome or color , as well as single-sided or double-sided , depending on the model and configuration. Printing technology includes direct-to-card color dye-sublimation and monochrome thermal transfer , and the print resolution reaches 300 dpi , with print modes of up to 300 x 600 dpi in color and monochrome and up to 300 x 1200 dpi in monochrome. Edge-to-edge printing contributes to a professional, clean and modern look of the cards.

One of the great advantages of the Primacy 2 series is its productivity. According to the data sheet, the printer can reach up to 280 cards/hour for single-sided color printing and up to 170 cards/hour for double-sided color printing. In the monochrome version, the series is designed for high work volumes, and the standard feed is 100 cards , with the option of expanding to 200 cards . This autonomy makes it very suitable for environments where cards are issued constantly and without frequent interruptions.

Primacy 2 also emphasizes security. The series can integrate magnetic encoder, contact, contactless or dual smartcard encoder, as well as UV effects, Kineclipse® function for print data protection, erasure of sensitive data from memory and, optionally, mechanical locking system or internal scanner. The print head also benefits from automatic protection when the printer is opened for maintenance or ribbon change, contributing to extending the life of the equipment.

In terms of use, the Evolis Primacy 2 is easy to integrate and operate. Standard connectivity includes USB and Ethernet , and some variants also offer Wi-Fi 802.11b/g . The interface can be with an LED panel or an LCD touch screen with QR display for assistance, and the Evolis Premium Suite software is available for Windows, Mac and Linux.
