Unlike direct-to-card printers, the Artista CR805 uses pigment ink retransfer technology , which means uniform and clear printing across almost the entire surface of the card. The 600 dpi resolution allows for excellent reproduction of photos, fine text, detailed graphics and visual security elements. The printer offers two color modes: True Color (ICC) , for the most faithful reproduction of the original design, and Legacy SR/CR , for organizations that want visual consistency with previous generations of Entrust printers. It is compatible with both primeless and primed ribbons, including CMYK, CMYK-K, CMYKP-KPi and FCMYP-KPi, making it highly versatile in a variety of applications.
At the operational level, the Artista CR805 is designed for professional workflows: input hopper for 125 cards , USB and Ethernet connectivity, plus support for magnetic stripe and smart card encoding, both contact and contactless.
