Datalogic MFDS (MassFlowDetectionSystem) is an advanced industrial solution for non-conveyable parcels, designed to automate data collection and reduce reliance on manual processes. By integrating leading Datalogic technologies, MFDS detects, sizes, decodes and stores images for each parcel that passes through the system.
🔥 What does MFDS do?
The system is based on the D4 concept, automating four critical operations:
- 🔎 DETECT – recognizes parcels even when they touch or run next to each other on lanes up to 1.5 m wide
- 📏 DIMENSION – measures the dimensions of regular or irregular parcels, with LFT certification
- 📦 DECODE – reads barcodes and associates them with the respective parcel
- 📸 DEPICT – captures and saves images for each parcel, as proof of condition and for video-coding activities

- 📷 AV900 – high-performance imager for reading 1D/2D codes from above
- 🔦 DS8110 – side-mounted laser scanner for reliable capture of 1D barcodes
- 🖥 SC5100 – central controller that correlates all data collected for each package
- 🎥 IP Camera + AV900 – generates multiple images for archive and video-coding
