Zebra DS8208-SR4U2104ZVW is the complete USB kit for retail and POS, consisting of:
DS8208-SR40004VZWW scanner (1D/2D area imager, Standard Range, with vibration)
CBA-U21-S07ZBR shielded USB cable, straight, approximately 2 m / 7 ft, with USB Type-A connector to the host.
It is the “plug-and-play solution: connect directly to your PC or POS via USB and you can start scanning barcodes immediately, without additional components or separate selection of cables.
Scanner DS8208 – top performance for retail
The included scanner, DS8208-SR40004VZWW, is part of the premium DS82 series, featuring a 2 MP (1600 x 1200 pixel) imager, white illumination and PRZM Intelligent Imaging technology, for fast and accurate reading of 1D and 2D codes, including damaged or low-contrast codes.
The large scanning range – up to approximately 70 cm for UPC codes and motion tolerance of up to 160 inches/sec – allows for convenient scanning of products at the front of the house or on the bottom of carts, reducing time per customer and congestion at the POS.
The Midnight Black housing, IP52 protection rating, and drop resistance up to 1.8 m with 2,000 tumbles ensure high durability in intense commercial environments.
Vibration feedback and Checkpoint EAS support
The scanner provides haptic feedback (vibration) upon confirmation of a read, in addition to LEDs and an audible signal. This is very useful in supermarkets or crowded stores, where the beep can be hard to hear.
Compatibility with Checkpoint EAS systems allows integration with anti-theft tag deactivation solutions: scanning the barcode and deactivating EAS can be done in one motion, simplifying the checkout flow and reducing waiting times.
CBA-U21-S07ZBR Shielded USB Cable – secure connectivity
The kit includes the CBA-U21-S07ZBR cable, a 7 ft / approx. 2 m shielded, straight USB cable with USB Type-A connector, designed specifically for use with Zebra scanners. Shielding reduces interference and ensures stable communication between the scanner and the POS or PC, even in environments with a lot of electronic equipment.
Due to the 2 m length, the cable provides enough freedom of movement at the POS station without creating excessive clutter on the counter.
