The Zebra ET401 8″ tablet model ET401EA-301P1B2P-A6 combines the mobility of a compact device with the performance and connectivity of an industrial workstation. It is a 5G + Wi-Fi 7 model, with SR500 1D/2D long range scanner and 6GB RAM / 64GB Flash configuration, optimal for retail, logistics, transportation and field services.

The ET401 series is the new generation of Zebra enterprise tablets, with a Qualcomm® Dragonwing™ processor; Q-6690, extended battery life, 600 nits display and rugged housing with IP68 protection and resistance to multiple drops on concrete.

8″ WUXGA 600 nits screen – clear indoors and outdoors

The 8″ model uses a WUXGA 1920×1200, 600 nits screen, optically bonded to the touch panel, which reduces reflections and increases readability in warehouses, stores or outdoors.

Corning® Gorilla® glass Glass 5 with anti-fingerprint and water-repellent coating keeps the screen protected and easy to read without frequent cleaning.

The multi-mode touchscreen supports finger (with or without gloves) and conductive stylus, with water droplet rejection and high precision even in the rain.

Enterprise performance with Dragonwing Q-6690 and 6GB RAM

The Qualcomm Dragonwing™ Q-6690 processor, up to 2.0 GHz, is three generations newer than the ET40/ET45 platform and brings a performance boost of over 42%, with support assured until 2034 – important for long lifecycles and standardization.

The 6 GB LPDDR5 RAM / 64 GB UFS 2.2 Flash configuration provides sufficient resources for WMS, ERP, mobile POS, route management, inventory and custom Android applications, with the possibility of expansion via microSD up to 2 TB.

Comprehensive connectivity: 5G, 4G, Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6

As a WAN model, the ET401EA-301P1B2P-A6 integrates 5G FR1 + 4G multiband modem, with support for public and private 5G networks, carrier aggregation and Dual SIM (nano SIM + eSIM) – ideal for mobile teams working in the field, between headquarters, warehouses and remote locations.

For WLAN, the tablet features Wi-Fi 7 tri-band (2.4 / 5 / 6 GHz), 2×2 MU-MIMO, with data rates up to 5.7 Gbps and enterprise standards (WPA3, 802.11r/k/v, Voice-Enterprise, Wi-Fi 7/6/6E certified).

On the PAN side, Bluetooth 6.0 (Classic + BLE) with BLE Audio and beaconing allows integration with additional scanners, mobile printers and headsets, as well as indoor location scenarios.

SR500 1D/2D long range scanner – fast and accurate, even in bright light

This SKU comes with the SR500 1D/2D scanning engine, integrated into the rear camera. The SR500 is designed for intensive scanning, with:

• fast barcode reading in all lighting conditions, including bright sunlight;

• longer scanning distance than the SE4100 (long range);

• Yellow targeting LED and red illumination, with high contrast, which help operators target even crowded codes more easily.

In addition to the scanner, the ET401 offers:

• 16 MP rear camera with PDAF, for documentary photos (goods, shelves, damage, etc.);

• 8 MP front camera, for video-call and remote support.

  Autonomy and replaceable battery

  The 8″ version uses a 6100 mAh, 3.91 V (23.46 Wh) Li-Ion Polymer battery, user-replaceable, optimized for a full work shift.

  Optionally, there is:

  • 3400 mAh hot-swap secondary battery (via expansion back), for scenarios where the tablet cannot be off;

  • battery-free mode, in which the device is powered directly from an external source (USB-C or pogo connectors), useful for vehicles, kiosks or fixed stations.

  IP68 ruggedization, 1.2 m drops and extreme temperatures

  ET401 8″ is IP68 certified, meaning it is completely protected against dust and can be temporarily submerged in water.

  The tablet is tested to:

  • multiple drops from 1.2 m onto concrete (1.5 m with rugged frame), according to MIL-STD-810H;

  • operating temperatures -20°C to +50°C and thermal shock between -40°C and +70°C;

  • industrial vibration and ESD up to ±15 kV air discharge.

  The compact dimensions and low weight (212.7 × 134.4 × 11.4 mm and ~480 g) make the 8″ model very comfortable to use in the hand all day long.

  Android GMS, Security and Zebra DNA Suite

  The tablet runs Android with GMS support, with security updates delivered through the LifeGuard™ for Android™ program, so your fleet stays secure throughout its lifecycle.

  For data and access protection:

  • Secure Element and Android Strongbox protect against physical attacks on the device;

  • Select ET401 models also include HID® security chip for card/badge secure access;

  • Identity Guardian enables fast, secure authentication based on facial recognition and Single Sign-On.
