The Zebra ET401 8″ ET401EA-30101B2P-A6 tablet is the 5G + Wi-Fi 7, Standard, no integrated scanner configuration, designed for companies that need a compact, always connected rugged terminal, but that use external scanners or only occasional scanning via the camera.

It is part of the Zebra ET401 Enterprise Tablets range, the generation that continues the ET40/ET45 series, with:

• new Qualcomm® Dragonwing™ Q-6690 processor, with on-device AI;

• IP68 housing, Gorilla Glass 5 and resistance to multiple drops on concrete;

• 5G FR1, Wi-Fi 7 tri-band, Bluetooth 6.0, NFC connectivity;

• Android GMS with long-term security updates (LifeGuard™ for Android™).

8″ WUXGA 600 nits display – compact, yet highly legible

The 8″ model uses a WUXGA 1920×1200, 600 nits display, with the optical panel „bonded” to the touchscreen, for reduced reflections and good contrast in warehouses, stores, loading/unloading or in the field.

Protection is provided by Corning® Gorilla® Glass 5, with:

• increased resistance to scratches and shocks;

• water droplet rejection – touchscreen usable even when the screen is wet;

• Anti-fingerprint coating, which reduces marks and frequent cleaning.

The touchscreen is multi-mode capacitive, optimized for:

• bare or gloved finger;

• conductive stylus;

without having to manually change the working mode. AI-enabled touch technology maintains accuracy and response time even in rain or cold environments.

The dimensions of 212.7 × 134.4 × 11.4 mm and a weight of approximately 480 g allow for comfortable all-day use, whether in the hand, on a belt or in a vehicle cradle.

&I nside, the ET401 uses the Qualcomm Dragonwing™ Q-6690 processor (up to 2.0 GHz), a modern SoC with support for on-device AI and the latest wireless technologies. It is three generations newer than the ET40/ET45 platform and offers a performance boost of over 42%, with announced support for up to 2034.

Configuration of this SKU:

• 6GB LPDDR5 RAM – enough for WMS, ERP, TMS, CRM, service applications, reports and video collaboration;

• 64GB UFS 2.2 Flash – fast internal storage for applications and local data;

The integrated NFC (ISO 14443 A/B, Mifare, FeliCa, ISO 15693) allows the use of badges, loyalty cards, tickets and payment scenarios (Apple VAS, Google Smart Tap, wallet/VAS SDK).

No Scan – without dedicated imager, with camera scanning or external scanner

The ET401 datasheet provides:

• rear camera scanning as a basic function;

• optional, 1D/2D engines SE4100 or SR500 on SKUs with “Scan”.

The ET401EA-30101B2P-A6 model is No Scan, meaning:

• IT DOES NOT have a 1D/2D imager dedicated;

• is recommended where you already have mobile/Bluetooth scanners or the scanning volume is low;

• codes can occasionally be read via the rear camera using decoding software applications.

Camera system:

• 16MP rear camera with Phase Detection Autofocus (PDAF) – ideal for photo documentation (goods, AWB, shelves, damage) and occasional scanning;

• 8MP front camera – perfect for video-calling with supervisors, IT or customers.

If your workflows become scan-heavy, îin the same family you can choose ET401 variants with SE4100 or SR500.

Full-day autonomy – 6100 mAh, replaceable battery

For the 8″ format, the ET401 uses a 6100 mAh, 3.91 V (23.46 Wh) Li-Ion Polymer battery, îuser-replaceable, sized for a full shift with active Wi-Fi/5G and enterprise applications.

At the ET401 family level you also have:

• hot-swappable 3400 mAh secondary battery, used with expansion back – for 24/7 applications;

• battery-free operation – operation powered directly via USB-C or pogo connectors (bottom/back), ideal for kiosks, vehicles or fixed POS stations, completely eliminating the battery and the risk of swelling.

ÎCharging is done via USB-C (USB-PD compatible) or via cradles with pogo connectors.

IP68 ruggedization and resistance to harsh environments

The Zebra ET401 is designed for industrial environments:

Integrated sensors – 3-axis accelerometer, gyroscope, magnetometer (eCompass), ambient light sensor – enable automatic orientation, brightness adjustment and contextual applications.

ET401 runs Android with GMS support, and the LifeGuard™ for Android™ offers regular OS and security updates, controllable by IT (when and how they are applied – Wi-Fi, cradles, etc.).
