The Zebra ET401 8″ ET4010A-00101B0P-A6 tablet is the Standard, Wi-Fi 7, no integrated scanner variant, intended for companies that need a compact rugged terminal for display and data entry applications (WMS, ERP, POS, CRM, reports), but use external scanners or only occasional scanning via the camera.

The ET401 Enterprise Tablets series continues the success of the ET40/ET45 and combines the slim design „consumer” with:

• IP68 industrial housing, with Gorilla Glass 5; 

• Qualcomm® Dragonwing™ Q-6690 processor, up to 2.0 GHz; 

• 6GB RAM / 64GB UFS 2.2 Flash memory, expandable with microSD up to 2TB; 

• latest generation connectivity: Wi-Fi 7 tri-band, Bluetooth 6.0, NFC. 

The ET401 is designed for a lifecycle of up to 8 years (availability + service), reducing the total cost of ownership and the risk of premature platform change. 

8″ WUXGA 600 nits display – compact, yet highly legible

The 8″ variant uses a WUXGA 1920×1200, 600 nits display, optically bonded to the touch panel, which reduces reflections and improves contrast in warehouses, stores or on the ramp. 

Key screen features:

• 8″ (20.3 cm) diagonal, ideal ratio between display space and portability; 

• Corning® Gorilla® glass Glass 5, scratch and shock resistant; 

• water droplet rejection – touchscreen usable even when the screen is wet;

• anti-fingerprint coating, which reduces marks and the need for cleaning.

The touchscreen is multi-mode capacitive, accepting:

• finger (with or without gloves),

• conductive stylus (optional),

without having to manually change the working mode.

The dimensions of the 8″ tablet are 212.7 × 134.4 × 11.4 mm, weighing approximately 480 g, making it easy to carry all day, in your hand or on your belt.

Enterprise hardware platform: Dragonwing Q-6690, 6GB RAM, 64GB Flash

Underneath, the ET401 uses the Qualcomm Dragonwing™ Q-6690 processor (up to 2.0 GHz), a modern SoC with support for on-device AI and the latest wireless technologies.

Configuration of this SKU:

• 6 GB LPDDR5 RAM – enough for WMS, ERP, TMS, service applications, CRM, reports and collaboration video; 

• 64 GB UFS 2.2 Flash – fast internal storage, suitable for applications and local data; 

• microSD slot up to 2 TB – ideal for logs, local databases or media files. 

For IT and management, it means a stable platform that remains high-performance throughout the project, even after years of updates.

Latest-generation connectivity: Wi-Fi 7 tri-band and Bluetooth 6.0

The model ET4010A-00101B0P-A6 is Wi-Fi only (no 5G/4G), ideal for applications îin internal company networks: warehouses, stores, logistics centers, production or offices.

The Wi-Fi 7 tri-band radio supports:

• standards IEEE 802.11 be/ax/ac/n/a/g/b,

• bands 2.4 / 5 / 6 GHz,

• 2×2 MU-MIMO,

• channels 20/40/80/160/320 MHz,

• Speeds up to 5764 Mbps in the 6 GHz band. 

The tablet is Wi-Fi CERTIFIED 7/6/6E, with support for WPA3 Enterprise/Personal, Enhanced Open, Voice-Enterprise, fast roaming and advanced QoS. 

For peripherals (mobile printers, headsets, keyboards, mice, external scanners, BLE beacons), the ET401 offers Bluetooth 6.0 Class 1 (Classic + BLE), with BLE Audio, beaconing and Bluetooth Channel Sounding functions for better location accurate. 

No dedicated scanner (No Scan) – for external scanner scenarios or occasional scanning

The ET401 datasheet provides:

• rear camera scanning as a basic feature;

• optional, 1D/2D SE4100 or SR500 engines for „Scan” SKUs. 

The ET4010A-00101B0P-A6 model is No Scan – does not include a dedicated 1D/2D imager. It is suitable when when:

• you already have Bluetooth/handheld scanners in your workflows;

• you want to separate the role of “control and visualization tablet” from that of “scanning device”;

• the scanning volume is small and can be covered by the camera.

From the factory, the tablet offers:

• 16 MP rear camera with Phase Detection Autofocus, also usable for occasional scanning via applications software;

• 8 MP front-facing camera, ideal for video-calling with supervisors, IT or clients. 

If you later need intensive scanning, îin the same family you can choose the ET401 SKUs with SE4100 or SR500. 

Autonomy for a full shift – 6100 mAh, replaceable battery

For the 8″ format, the ET401 is equipped with a 6100 mAh, 3.91 V (23.46 Wh) Li-Ion Polymer battery, user-replaceable, designed for a full day of work with active Wi-Fi and applications enterprise. 

At the family level, the following are available:

• hot-swappable 3400 mAh secondary battery (used with expansion back) – for 24/7 scenarios; 

• battery-free operation – the ability to directly power the tablet from an external source via USB-C or bottom/back connectors, useful for kiosks, vehicles or fixed POS stations. 

ÎCharging is done via USB-C (USB 3.1, USB-PD compatible) or via cradles with pogo connectors. 

IP68 ruggedization and resistance to industrial environments

The Zebra ET401 8″ is designed for use in harsh environments:

• IP68 rating – completely dustproof and protected against temporary immersion in water; 

• multiple drops from 1.2 m on concrete (up to 1.5 m with rugged frame), according to MIL-STD-810H; 

• operating temperature -20°C…+50°C and storage -40°C…+70°C; 

• vibration resistance and ESD ±15 kV air / ±8 kV contact. 

Integrated sensors (accelerometer, gyroscope, magnetometer, ambient light sensor) enable automatic orientation, brightness adjustment and contextual applications (e.g. screen activation when high). 

Android GMS, enterprise security and Zebra DNA™

The ET401 runs Android with GMS support, and Zebra provides regular security and OS updates through the LifeGuard™ for Android™ program, ensuring an up-to-date and secure platform throughout its lifecycle. 

Security is îenhanced by:

• Secure Element / Android Strongbox architecture and advanced encryption options; 

• support for WPA3 Enterprise, Enhanced Open, certificates and EAP authentication on Wi-Fi; 

• integration with Zebra DNA™, the software suite that simplifies the enrollment, configuration, management, monitoring and optimization of the ET401 fleet.
