The Colormetrics P1000 Series POS system was designed for everyone in the retail and hospitality industry who places great importance on sophisticated design and wants a quality POS system at an affordable price – in a few words, for you!

We equipped the P1000 Series POS systems with a generous 15-inch touchscreen, emphasizing excellent resolution. It features 1,024 x 768 pixels and a brightness of 300 nits. This ensures excellent visibility of all displayed content for both you and your employees – even in low light conditions. You can choose between a capacitive or resistive screen (we will explain the differences between them below).

Top performance

The P1000 POS system offers top performance! We believe that those who work at maximum efficiency every day should expect the same from their POS system. That’s why we equipped the P1000 with a fast Intel Celeron J1900 Quad-Core processor with a frequency of 2 GHz, 2 GB of RAM (expandable up to 8 GB) and a 64 GB SSD (optionally, you can also choose an HDD). The P1000 has two serial/COM ports, four USB 2.0 ports and one USB 3.0 port. In addition, it has a Gigabit LAN port for fast Ethernet data transfer, a 24V port for the cash drawer and a VGA port for connecting an additional monitor. And let’s not forget a practical feature: the P1000’s power supply is integrated into the stand.

The P1000 POS system makes no noise, even in your shop, bar or restaurant. It operates without mechanical ventilation and no moving parts, which reduces wear and tear and ensures quiet operation. This makes it ideal for anyone who considers a quiet atmosphere essential in their business.

Capacitive or resistive? The choice is yours when it comes to POS monitor touch technology. To help you make a more informed decision, let’s briefly explain the technology behind these types of screens:

Capacitive screen:

Capacitive screens are the ones you find in smartphones and tablets. They react to touch with a finger or a conductive pen, but they don’t respond to prosthetics, regular pencils, or gloved hands. These screens are scratch-resistant, but can be more difficult to read in direct sunlight.

Resistive screen:

Resistive screens react to pressure, including that exerted by a pen or gloved fingers. These are more affordable than capacitive ones, but can have a slower response and be sensitive to excessive pressure.
