Zebra 9160 G2 – Narrowband Base Station for Long-Range Coverage in Large Spaces

The Zebra (Motorola) 9160 G2 is a Narrowband UHF base station designed for challenging and very large areas – from ports and freight yards to airports and outdoor industrial spaces. A single 9160 G2 can cover up to a mile (≈1.6 km), often replacing ~10 Wi-Fi access points in a similar environment. The narrowband protocol provides stable connections in the presence of metal, water or other RF sources, and connected terminals work energy-efficiently throughout the shift.

Flexible backhaul & centralized management. Connect it to your network via Ethernet with PoE (802.3af) or use optional Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g as a wireless backhaul. Management is easy via SNMP, HTTP Web UI, Telnet/Console and support for enterprise security profiles.

For special environments. The 9160 G2 is recommended for both indoor warehouses/industries and outdoor yards; can also cover cold rooms with isolated areas using dual-radio and antenna split operation.
