The Zebra ET401 8″ ET401EA-301P1B2P-TR tablet is the rugged 5G + Wi-Fi 7 variant with SR500 long range scanner and 6GB RAM / 64GB Flash configuration, dedicated to the Turkish market (“Turkey Only”). From a hardware point of view, it is equivalent to the global model ET401EA-301P1B2P-NA: 8″, 5G, Standard, SR500, 6GB/64GB, Android GMS. 

It is part of the ET401 Enterprise Tablets range, the new generation of the bestsellers ET40/ET45, with:

• Qualcomm® Dragonwing™ processor; Q-6690 with integrated AI; 

• slim yet rugged IP68 design; 

• long-term availability and service, with a lifespan of up to 8 years (4 years availability + 4 years service). 

It is ideal for warehouses, logistics centers, retail, cash & carry, transport and field service, where intensive scanning at longer distances, permanent connectivity and industrial reliability are required. 

8″ WUXGA 600 nits display – compact, yet highly legible

The 8″ model uses a display:

• WUXGA 1920×1200,

• brightness 600 nits,

• optical panel bonded to the touchscreen, for reduced reflections and higher contrast good. 

Protection is provided by Corning® Gorilla® Glass 5, with:

• advanced protection against scratches and shocks; 

• water droplet rejection function, so the screen remains usable even when wet;

• anti-fingerprint coating, which reduces traces and the need for cleaning. 

The multi-mode capacitive touchscreen allows work with:

• finger (with or without gloves),

• conductive stylus,

without having to manually switch between modes. The AI-enabled touchscreen technology offers excellent response time and accuracy, even in the rain. 

The dimensions for the 8″ model are 212.7 × 134.4 × 11.4 mm, weighing 480 g, making the tablet very easy to carry all day, in your hand, on a belt or mounted on a vehicle. 

Enterprise hardware platform: Dragonwing Q-6690, 6GB RAM, 64GB Flash

All ET401 models are based on the Qualcomm® Dragonwing™ Q-6690 processor, up to 2.0 GHz, the first enterprise processor with integrated RFID, with over 42% increase in performance compared to the ET40/ET45 platform and support until 2034. 

Configuration of this SKU:

• 6GB LPDDR5 RAM, optimal for WMS, ERP, TMS, CRM, service applications, reports, video-call; 

• 64GB UFS 2.2 Flash – fast internal memory for applications and local data; 

• microSD slot up to 2TB, for local databases, logs or media files. 

The result: a tablet that remains performant and scalable throughout the entire project, even as applications become more complex.

Full connectivity: 5G FR1, 4G and Wi-Fi 7 tri-band

As a WWAN model, the ET401EA-301P1B2P-TR includes 5G FR1 NR Sub-6 (NSA/SA) modem, with:

• support for multiple bands 5G, 4G, 3G and 2G – for global coverage;

• LTE/NR Carrier Aggregation and Gigabit LTE-A;

• Dual SIM (nano SIM + eSIM), useful for multi-operator projects or business/private separation. 

For WLAN, the tablet offers Wi-Fi 7 tri-band (2.4 / 5 / 6 GHz), 2×2 MU-MIMO radio, with:

• standards IEEE 802.11 be/ax/ac/n/a/g/b,

• channels of 20/40/80/160/320 MHz,

• speeds of up to 5764 Mbps in band 6 GHz; 

• Wi-Fi CERTIFIED 7/6/6E, WPA3 Enterprise/Personal, Enhanced Open, Voice-Enterprise, Wi-Fi QoS Management and fast roaming certifications. 

For peripherals, the ET401 uses Bluetooth 6.0 Class 1 (Classic + BLE), with:

• BLE Audio,

• beaconing,

• Bluetooth Channel Sounding for more precise positioning,

ideal for printers mobiles, headsets, additional scanners, keyboards, mice and BLE beacons. 

The integrated NFC supports ISO 14443 A/B, Mifare, FeliCa and ISO 15693, plus Apple VAS and Google Smart Tap – perfect for badges, loyalty cards, tickets and payment/identification scenarios. 

SR500 1D/2D long range scanner – for intensive scanning, even in bright light

According to the official data sheet, the ET401 can be optionally equipped with:

• SE4100 for standard range scanning, intensity small–medium;

• SR500 for intensive scanning and longer distances. 

The ET401EA-301P1B2P-TR model has 1D/2D imager SR500 (Standard, SR500 also confirmed by global variants -NA with the same code without regional suffix). 

SR500 offers:

• longer scanning distance compared to SE4100 – useful for high shelves, pallets, in-vehicle scanning;

• code capture în all lighting conditions, including îin bright light/sunlight;

• yellow LED aimer with red illumination, for excellent contrast and visibility. 

În addition, the tablet features:

• 16MP rear camera with Phase Detection Autofocus, useful for photo documentation (goods, AWB, shelves, damages, documents);

• 8MP front camera, ideal for video calls (supervisors, IT support, customers);

• optional, camera ultra-wide 13MP at the range level, for capturing wider areas (whole shelf, vehicle, etc.). 

Autonomy for a whole shift – 6100 mAh, replaceable battery

The 8″ format uses a 6100 mAh, 3.91 V (23.46 Wh) Li-Ion Polymer battery, user-replaceable, sized for a working day with Wi-Fi/5G active, scanning and enterprise applications. 

At the range level, the ET401 also offers:

• hot-swappable secondary battery 3400 mAh (7.6 V), used with expansion back – for 24/7 scenarios; 

• battery-free operation – operation powered directly from an external source (via USB-C or IO bottom/back), ideal for kiosks, POS stations, forklift/truck mounting, without internal battery. 

ÎCharging is done via USB-C (USB-PD compatible) or via office/vehicle cradles with pogo connectors. 

IP68 ruggedization – warehouse, ramp and field ready

The Zebra ET401 8″ is designed for harsh environments:

• IP68 rating – completely dustproof and protected against temporary immersion in water; 

• multiple drops from 1.2 m onto concrete (up to 1.5 m with rugged frame), MIL-STD-810H compliant; 

• operating temperature -20°C…+50°C and storage -40°C…+70°C; 

• Resistance to industrial vibrations and ESD up to ±15 kV air / ±8 kV contact. 

Integrated sensors – 3-axis accelerometer, 3-axis gyroscope, magnetometer (eCompass), ambient light sensor – enable automatic orientation, brightness adjustment and contextual applications (wake-on-motion, etc.). 

Android GMS, enterprise security and Zebra DNA™

ET401 runs Android with GMS support, and the LifeGuard™ for Android™ delivers regular OS and security updates that are controllable by IT (when, where, and how). 

Security is strengthened by:

• the Secure Element and Android Strongbox architecture, for protection against physical attacks and unauthorized access to data; 

• support for WPA3 Enterprise/Personal, Enhanced Open, EAP, and certificates îon enterprise Wi-Fi networks; 

• additional options, such as the HID® security chip on select models, for secure access with card/badge; 

• integration with the Zebra DNA™ suite (Workstation Connect, Zebra Pay, Workcloud Sync, Zebra Guardian etc.), which simplifies the deployment, management and optimization of the ET401 fleet.
