The Zebra ET401 8″ tablet model ET4010A-001C1B0P-A6 is the compact version of the ET401 Enterprise Tablets range – the new generation of the highly successful ET40/ET45 series, designed for intensive use in retail, logistics, warehouses, production and field services.

The slim design and low weight make it easy to carry throughout the shift, without sacrificing robustness. The device combines a “consumer” look modern with clearly industrial specifications: IP68 protection, MIL-STD-810H testing, high autonomy and new Qualcomm Dragonwing™ Q-6690 hardware platform, with over 40% performance increase compared to the previous generation.

The 6 GB RAM LPDDR5 + 64 GB UFS 2.2 configuration ensures a very good balance between performance and cost, and the microSD slot allows storage expansion up to 2 TB – useful for applications with a lot of offline data (documents, photos, videos, forms).

8″ WUXGA 600 nits screen – compact, but easy to read

The 8″ variant offers a WUXGA 1920×1200, 600 nits screen, with the „bonded” optical panel to the touchscreen, which improves readability, reduces reflections and makes the image much clearer both indoors and in bright light.

Protection is provided by Corning® Gorilla® Glass 5, with anti-fingerprint coating and water droplet repelling function, so the screen remains usable even when wet or dirty, without the need for constant cleaning.

The touchscreen is multi-mode and allows working with a finger (with or without gloves) or with a conductive stylus, without manually changing operating modes. AI-touch technology improves touch accuracy and response time, even in difficult conditions (rain, cold).

Enterprise performance with Qualcomm Dragonwing™ Q-6690

At the heart of the tablet is the Qualcomm® Dragonwing™ Q-6690 processor, designed for enterprise applications and modern scenarios with integrated AI and cloud applications. It is three generations newer than the processor in the ET40/ET45 and offers a performance boost of over 42%, with announced support until at least 2034 – ideal for long life cycles and long-term standardization.

The 6 GB RAM / 64 GB Flash memory is perfectly suited for WMS, ERP, mobile POS, inventory solutions and custom Android applications, without stuttering and without blockages in multitasking.

6100 mAh battery for a full shift

The 8″ ET401 version is equipped with a 6100 mAh, 3.91 V (23.46 Wh) Li-Ion Polymer battery, user-replaceable, optimized for a standard workday.

The ET401 platform also allows:

• hot-swap 3400 mAh secondary battery (via the extension), for applications where turning off the device is not acceptable;

• battery-free operation, by direct power supply from an external source via USB-C or pogo connectors – ideal for fixed mounting in vehicles, kiosks or workstations.

In addition, Zebra guarantees commercial availability of up to 4 years and an additional 4 years of service, resulting in approximately 8 years of total support, which significantly reduces fleet replacement costs.

Latest generation connectivity: Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6

The ET4010A-001C1B0P-A6 model is Wi-Fi only and has a Wi-Fi 7 tri-band (2.4 / 5 / 6 GHz), 2×2 MU-MIMO radio, with transfer rates that can exceed 5 Gbps, supporting 20/40/80/160/320 MHz and optimized for many devices connected simultaneously – just right for warehouses, large stores or factories.

On the PAN side, we have Bluetooth 6.0 (Classic + BLE), with BLE Audio, beaconing and positioning functions – perfect for use with additional scanners, mobile printers, headsets or BLE tags for indoor location.

Integrated SE4100 1D/2D scanner – for standard daily scanning

This SKU includes the imager 1D/2D SE4100, optimal for small and medium volumes of standard distance scanning (barcodes on labels, boxes, shelves, documents).

SE4100 quickly reads printed or displayed codes on screens, including slightly damaged or dirty codes, which makes it ideal for stores, picking, goods receipt, deliveries and document verification.

In addition to the scanner, the tablet is equipped with:

• 16 MP rear camera with PDAF autofocus – for photo documentation (goods status, damages, shelves, projects);

• 8 MP front camera – for video-call and support remote.

IP68 Ruggedization for Use in Harsh Environments

The ET401 Series is designed for industrial environments. The 8″ tablet offers:

• IP68 rating – complete protection against dust and temporary immersion in water;

• multiple drops from 1.2 m onto concrete (and up to 1.5 m with the optional rugged frame), according to MIL-STD-810H;

• operating temperature range -20°C to +50°C, with thermal shock tests for rapid transition between cold and hot environments;

• vibration and ESD resistance (up to ±15 kV air discharge).

Weight of only approx. 480 g makes the 8″ model very easy to use in the hand all day or with a belt/harness, reducing operator fatigue.

Android GMS, security and enterprise management

The tablet runs Android with GMS support, with versions supported over the long term through the LifeGuard™ for Android™ program, which offers regular security updates and control over when and how to install (OTA, Wi-Fi, cradles, etc.).

Data protection is ensured by:

• Secure Element and Android Strongbox, for protection against physical attacks on device;

• HID® security chip option on select configurations for secure card/badge authentication;

• Identity Guardian and Single Sign-On integration for fast, secure access to applications through facial recognition.

All of this is complemented by the Zebra DNA™ suite of software tools for configuring, securing, managing, and optimizing devices, plus solutions like Workstation Connect, Zebra Pay, and Workcloud Sync.
